Service Description
Chinese medicine is a coherent and independent system of thought and practice that has been developed over the two millennia. It is based on the idea that no single part can be understood except in its relations to a whole. That is what makes this system so uniquely suited to modern life - addressing physical, emotional and mental aspects of health. It is a very positive model of good health and function, and looks at pain and illness as signs that the body is out of balance. By inserting very fine sterile needles into specific acupuncture points, a traditional acupuncturist seeks to re-establish the free flow of Qi (vital force, energy) to restore balance and trigger the body's natural healing response. As well as needling acupuncture points, I may use other Chinese medicine techniques such as moxa, cupping, guasha and electro - acupuncture.
